In September 2008, a new student finance service will be launched: Student Finance England.

This new service, covering all student finance applications for the academic year 09/10 onwards, will make it easier than ever for students in England to apply for grants, bursaries and Student Loans.

Higher education is one of the biggest and most important investments you can make.

Working with Directgov, Student Finance England will provide you with all the relevant information needed to make an informed decision about a student finance application.

What’s new about Student Finance England?

Student Finance England will help you work out the financial support you’ll get, apply for finance and keep track of your payments:

• from September 2008 you will be able to apply for student finance at the same time as you make your UCAS application
• the new online application process will be faster and more straightforward than ever before
• an online calculator will help you work out how much you can get and even see what bursaries may be available at your preferred university or college
• after you have applied you will be able to manage your own account online; if, at any point, you need assistance or advice you can easily communicate with an advisor using secure messaging

You can apply on-line for the academic year 09/10 from September 2008, and we recommend that you do so as early as possible in order to ensure that we receive your application in good time.
